Early To Bed.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, does more wonders for the spirit than heading to bed early.  Bonus points if the rain in coming down outside and you have a warm blanket pulled up against your chin.  

After a fun work/play weekend out in Lockeford visiting with family, doing some organizing and playing with Pony, I'm pooped.   I'm typing this from bed.  After I finish, it's time to read for a bit and then lights out. 

This week I challenge you to head to bed early too.  Pick one night - if you don't have kids, this will be easier, but if you do, maybe see if the other caretaker can help put them down for the evening.   

Dim the lights.  Light a candle.  Snuggle up with that blanket.  Maybe read a chapter in a good book.  

I'll see you in the morning, well rested and ready to go.

Bath Time!

Is there anything more luxurious than lighting a few candles, pouring in some lavender salts and sinking down into a warm bath? 

I think not. 

But, thanks to this drought, I've been trying to do my part and save water.  Well, it turns out that easing up on the hamburgers and chocolate saves a hell of a lot more water than skimping on a bath time.  So my homework this week, and yours, is to light those candles up and get in that bath.  My aching shoulders can't wait.  Bonus points if you can get someone to bring you a glass of champagne while you're soaking.  ;-)

If you're feeling even a bit squeamish about using that water, just remember that residential water use only accounts for 10% of our state's water usage.  Seriously.
