This is it! You did it. Made it through another month of decluttering, organizing and simplifying. Let’s dig in and finish up this last area. Bodily hair removal. If you’ve decided to let it all grow free, you can skip today’s chapter.
If you’re still in the shaving, waxing and plucking, let’s get to it. Gather the following items into a big pile on your bathroom floor:
- Razor blades
- Disposable razor blades
- Razor handles
- Disposable razor cartridges
- Depilatory creams
Done? Once you’ve grouped like items together, it’s time to really give them a once over. There are probably duplicates and items you never use. Ask yourself:
- When’s the last time I used these items?
- Do I still have the razor handle that goes with these blades?
- Do I use wax or depilatory cream, or do I go to a salon?
- Do I use tweezers, or do I have my eyebrows threaded?
Once you’ve pared down to only one each of the items you actually use, let’s figure out where to keep them. I like keeping my tweezers with my makeup bag, since that’s usually when I notice an errant hair growing in. The spare razor blade cartridges are stored in our “extras bin” along with our extras of shave gel, soap, deodorant, toothpaste and the like.
Well, that’s it! If you're behind on a section, use tomorrow to catch up. Otherwise, I’ll see you next month!
