Now that we’ve finished sorting and organizing our hair accoutrements, let’s move on to body lotions and potions. We will sort through face lotions and potions in a few days; for today, let’s focus on body:
- Aloe vera gel
- Hotel lotions
Once you’ve gathered them all on your bed or onto the bathroom floor, let’s grab a recycle bag, set that timer for 20 and start sorting. Are the products:
- Used daily?
- Used weekly?
- Used monthly?
- Never used?
- Smelly, and not in a good way?
- Full of chemicals?
Once you’ve gathered your favorite, used weekly items together, let’s put them aside. Now look at the rarely used, unused or otherwise unloved items. Is holding onto them worth cluttering up your bathroom? Is it worth the hassle to dig through them to find the stuff you do use? Do you have friends that would want these items? Maybe it’s just time to recycle the lot of them.
Now take the keeps, and find one home for them. This could be a bin or basket on a shelf or under your sink. It could be the medicine cabinet. The key is to make these items easily accessible. If you have extras of these items, grab one bin to keep them in. We keep our extras (only 1 per product!) in a cute, metal bin from IKEA in the cabinet. Done? Great job! I’ll see you tomorrow.
